Every four years we are given an extra day in the month of February, We call this phenomenon Leap year!
Take advantage of today’s beautiful day and drive yourself down to the heart of Pacific Beach(PB). There in PB, you will find a place called Sinbad Cafe and Hookah Bar serving up a mean Wednesday happy hour from 11am-8pm. Drink specials include $3 mix drinks, $2.50 for all shots, $2.50 draft beer, and $9 Hookahs. There are over 30 different delicious flavors of tobacco… But if you’re not into Hookah, make sure you at least stop by for their cheap drinks and relaxing atmosphere.
We won’t see another Leap year until the next four years, so be sure to celebrate today right by stopping by Sinbad Cafe and Hookah Bar! It’s the perfect place to kick back and chill with your friends. Happy Leap Day everyone!
Where my party people at?? Well while you guys have been out enjoying all of our drink specials, recipes, and cool kick it spots, I’ve been touring the country looking for the best drinking games in the U.S.!!…well not really. But, I do have a great game for you and your friends to play at your next party or kickback, and it just might cause you to reminisce on those dear childhood memories.
You guys remember this? Well now we’ve got this!
That’s right people, Battle-shots!! One of your favorite childhood games has grown up and is ready to get the party started. Grab your favorite bottle of alcohol, chaser, and shot glasses and head to the table. As you can see the set up is not too difficult and you can use any kind of table (or even pizza boxes, since i know we’re all on budgets) as long as you can’t see your opponent’s side with a labeled 10×10 square board, and either a dry-erase board or sheet of paper to mark off previously chosen spots.
The rules are simple. Sit opposite your challenger, secretly place your shots on your board, and flip a coin to see who goes first. On your turn, call out the coordinates that you believe are the location of your opponent’s shots, and mark off your selection on your dry-erase board or sheet of paper so you don’t make the same selection twice. If you get a hit, they take the shot. Continue this procedure until you hit all of your opponent’s shots and the loser has to take all the shots remaining on the winners side.
This game is definitely not for the weak and if your playing with actual shots you may only need one game to get you on a good level. But it’s definitely a fun alternative from the well known Beer Pong or Flip Cup. Enjoy!
If you are looking for a good time then giddy-on-up to Saddle Ranch Chophouse in Hollywood. With a mechanical bull (which I did ride), fantastic food ranging from Jalepeno Mac-n-Cheese to their famous sweet potato fries, huge drinks, and an overall exciting atmosphere this place will NOT disappoint.
What makes this place so great? Welllll, the following are just a few of the nifty things you can order: DIY Smores (they have outside fire-pits where you can roast marshmallows and make your own Smores), shareable cotton candy in an extremely oversized martini glass, and specialty drinks like their delicious raspberry kamikaze shots.
When I went I got the Mai Tai which was very strong. I also tried the raspberry kamikaze shots and devoured their sweet potato fries which is served with a yummy, ooey, gooey, marshmallow-ey sauce and spicy ketchup.
This place is a little pricey, but it is definitely worth it. They also have valet parking for less than $4, and if you have ever been to Hollywood you will know that $4 for parking is a great deal!
So what are you waiting for? Round up some cowboys or cowgirls and head on down to Saddle Ranch in Hollywood! They also have a location at Universal City Walk if you would rather go there.
