Drink of the Day: Appletini

Everyone loves an Appletini right?! I know I do! The sultry green color and delicious sour apple taste always leaves me satisfied. Come on, I know all you tough fellas out there would even like this drink. It’s so easy to make and yet so very tasty and rewarding. Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz green-apple schnapps

Directions:

  1. Pour the ingredients into cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Now wasn’t that simple? So whether you are entertaining or it’s just a party for one, mix it up and enjoy this simple, yet classic martini.

Cheers!

Deal of the Day: Citrus City Grille

It’s a wonderful Thursday! As we get oh-so-close to the weekend, why not get started early? Citrus City Grille has an absolutely fabulous Happy Hour which is Sun-Thurs, 3pm-close and Fri & Sat, 3pm-7pm. With their Happy Hour you can get Mac n Cheese (can you tell this is one of my favorite foods? I always tend to mention it!), or their Blackened Fish Tacos  each for only $5. They offer an array of exquisite martinis for $5, selected wine for $5, beer for $4 or less, and well drinks for $4.

I have had the pleasure of trying some of their yummy martinis during Happy Hour. The Mango Citrus (shown in the picture below) is quite amazing and left me wanting more. It contains Mango Rum, Cointreau, orange juice, and mango puree.  After this, I also had the Pomegranate Lemonade which features Pomegranate liquor, Vodka, sweet & sour, pomegranate juice, and lemon twist. This one wasn’t as good as the mango, but still a bargain at only $5. If you like it dirty, they have the Dirty Old Classic which contains olive juice, vermouth, and Vodka.

If you don’t like martinis at all, they have wine, beer, and well drinks! The food at Citrus City Grille is pretty amazing, be sure to take advantage of their great food deals!

So, bottoms up and happy Thursday!!
